Due to Flickr's hard-nosed stance on censorship, I started a process of de-flickering my photo collection. This is to say, I'm deleting the stuff I have on Flickr and post it elsewhere.
Concidence or not, just two weeks after I paid for a two-year extension of my pro account, Flickr dropped me from its search index. This means, my photos don't show up in Flickr searches. The number of views of my photostream dropped from over 1,500 a day to under 100. Obviously, it doesn't make sense to upload more photos to Flickr when doing so has the same effect as storing them on a hard disk: they'll be there but no one except myself will see them.
I'm not deleting everything at once because I still have a fully paid pro account. I intend to keep it until the subscription expires. After that I'll delete my Flickr account together with my Yahoo mail account.
Censorship sucks!
